Dear Parents / Guardians
DELAY IN THE ISSUING OF TERM 2 LEARNER REPORTS Cards

The Principals of Lakeside Primary School, Goedehoop Primary School, Drommedaris Primary School, and Reiger Park Primary School wish to inform parents and guardians that, due to the ongoing unavailability of the Department of Education's Citrix Workspace system, schools are currently unable to access the necessary systems required to finalise and print learner reports.
Despite continuous efforts and regular monitoring of the system, the outage remains unresolved and has been escalated to Head Office by the Department of Education. Schools are awaiting further communication regarding the restoration of services.
As a result, we regret to inform you that learner report cards will not be issued on Friday, 26 June 2026, as originally anticipated.
Reports will be distributed during Term 3 once the system has been restored and all administrative processes have been completed. Parents and Guardians will be informed of the new date as soon as it becomes available.
We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience this may cause and thank you for your patience, understanding, and continued support during this time.

It is with great sadness that we extend our heartfelt condolences to the Ruiters family on the passing of Thurstan Ruiters, a former pupil of Drommedaris Primary School.

His passing brings deep sorrow to the entire Drommedaris Primary family. Thurstan will be fondly remembered for his helpful demeanour and inquisitive nature. Many teachers will cherish the memory of his warm morning greetings, delivered in his very recognisable voice, which will be dearly missed.

We continue to lift the Ruiters family in our prayers during this difficult time, trusting that God will grant you comfort and strength. May Thurstan’s memory live on in the hearts and lives of all those he touched.

Today we celebrated and showed our appreciation to our male staff–the father figures at our school. Thank you for your guidance, support, encouragement and the positive example you set for our learners every day.

Due to unforseen circumstances the Technology tour to the Sci-Bono Discovery facility has been postponed from the 19 June 2026 to 7th August 2026 which will allow other parents an extended opportunity to complete their payment.

Today, former Drommedaris learner Alizano, currently in Grade 10, spoke to our Grade 7 learners about the realities of high school. He shared the importance of studying hard, staying motivated, and remaining focused on future goals.

His honest and encouraging message gave our learners valuable insight into what lies ahead. Thank you, Alizano, for inspiring our Grade 7s! 🌟
