Xtra Step Learning Centre is a Christian-based learning centre offering a flexible, individualized learning program. Our approach focuses on developing essential skills rather than just meeting outcomes, while identifying and addressing learning gaps. Learners progress at their own pace, often working at different levels across subjects. Our vision is to provide a personalized education that nurtures independent and creative thinkers. With small class sizes (1:10) and diverse teaching methods, we tailor learning to suit each child's unique needs, preparing them for the future—even for jobs that don’t exist yet. We offer two matric exit routes: the GED and the American High School Diploma. Many learners have gaps in their education. At Xtra Step, we identify these gaps—"X marks the spot"—and rebuild the missing foundations. When a concept is challenging, we reteach it in a way that makes sense to the learner. We go the extra step to build their confidence and belief in their abilities. This process takes time, but the reward is seeing a child’s face light up when they finally understand. Learning starts with knowing the learner—their interests, strengths, and challenges. When we understand them, we can help them succeed! Xtra Step – Improving a child's ability to learn, one step at a time!
