Have you been meaning to enter our Call for Stories? Today is your final opportunity!

We’re inviting writers to share original, engaging children’s stories in isiNdebele, Setswana, Siswati, Tshivenda and Xitsonga. By creating more stories in these languages, we can help ensure that children have access to stories that speak to their language, culture, experiences and imagination, while strengthening the availability of quality children’s literature in South African languages.

We invite storytellers, writers, parents, grandparents, and community members to share original stories that celebrate our languages, cultures, and imagination.

Stories help children read, dream, learn, and see themselves reflected in the books they read.
