..I would like to start by wishing our Youth a fabulous and prosperous Youth month🤍🖤💚
Yesterday student and Youth forum was remembering and saluting the brave and courageous Youth caders who where at the forefront of the struggle for liberation on 16 june 1976 They did not flinch in the face of the brutal and violent repressive apartheid regime but were determined and willing to risk and sacrificed their young lives to ensure that we enjoy the fruits of freedom and democracy as FANKLIN D ROOSEVELT ONE SAID"We cannot always build the future for our Youth,but we can build our youth for the future"I ask despite the pandemic,is anything truly different?Are the decisions that were made was not just important today as ?years ago during the protest in Soweto and through out the country in 1976? History teaches us that over three_thousand young people marched on 16 June 1976 to protest against a substandard an unequal education system.many young people unfortunately lost their lives let's pick up the spear and run with it let's take where they left On this day historic event where young people stood up for a better lives for those that had been left behind with a substandard education and no hope for the future.Why is it then that our young people of today do not see and realise the value of education?why is it that despite the effort of those brave young men and women,our young people today do not understand that the greatest weapon on earth to fight poverty is knowledge determination and courage to step out of their comfort zone.
Nelson Mandela once said" a good head and a good heart is always a formidable combination.but when you add to that a literate tongue or pen then you have something very special"
