Due to the extension of the ‘lock-in’ period, we as parents now have no other option but to take the plunge and take hands with our teachers to ensure that this year does not get wasted academically. It is our duty as parents to give direction to our children as to how this period can be made use of productively.

We have been doing summaries with questionnaires and memoranda for the last 7 years of all primary school subjects. Parents throughout South Africa have been using this with very positive feedback. We mostly work from the Platinum and Via Africa text books; however, maths and languages are not limited to specific text books.

As gevolg van die verlenging van die inperkingstyd, het ons as ouers nie nou ‘n ander keuse as om in te spring, hande te vat met ons onderwysers en te verseker dat hierdie jaar nie akademies verlore gaan nie. Dis ons as ouers se plig om ons kinders nou leiding te gee hoe om hierdie tyd vrugbaar te gebruik.

Ons doen al die afgelope 7 jaar opsommings met vraestelle en die memoranda van al die laerskoolvakke, waarvan ouers dwarsoor die land gebruik maak met baie positiewe terugvoering. Ons werk meesal uit die Platinum en Via Afrika handboeke, maar wiskunde en die tale gaan geen verskil maak watter handboeke u kind gebruik nie.
