Our facilitators stepped into the spotlight, practicing real-world MCC & BCC session delivery. Through role-playing community scenarios and testing different facilitation techniques, they experienced firsthand what it’s like to lead sessions in their communities. This isn’t just theory - it’s preparing for REAL situations with REAL participants!CONSTRUCTIVE FEEDBACK SESSIONS:
After each simulation, the magic happened! Master trainers and peers provided detailed, constructive feedback. This is where growth happens:
- What worked well and why
- Areas for refinement
- Alternative approaches to try
- Building confidence through supportPeer-to-peer learning created a safe space for facilitators to refine their delivery skills, ask questions, and learn from each other’s strengths. GETTING COMMUNITY-READY:
The goal? Transforming training room skills into community impact! Through practice and feedback, our facilitators are building:
- Confidence to handle diverse groups
- Flexibility to adapt to different situations
- Skills to engage men and boys effectively

DAY 2: FROM PAIN TO PURPOSE!!
Today, men broke their silence. They shared stories of growing up without fathers, not knowing how to connect with their own sons because no one showed them how.
ABSENT FATHERS = the root of bullying, GBVF, substance abuse & broken families.
But we’re changing the narrative:
- Presidential Working Committee proposed (chaired by President/Deputy President)
- Standardised M&E tools for accountability
- Better Man 4 Change strategies
- Strengthened partnerships & resource mobilisation
-Life behind bars discussions
The message: PRESENT FATHERS BUILD STRONG NATIONS.
It’s not too late to break the cycle. Show up. Be present. Be the change.

DAY 1: VOICES HEARD. COMMITMENTS MADE.
What a powerful first day at the 5th National Men & Boys Parliament!
MEN ARE LEADING FROM THE FRONT
Today, we witnessed men stepping up, taking accountability, and championing the fight against GBVF and HIV infections. Real leadership is about action, not just words.
BOYS REFUSE TO STAY SILENT
Our young men spoke truth to power. Their voices rang loud and clear – they will NOT keep quiet while things get worse. This generation is demanding change, and they’re ready to be part of the solution.
LEADERSHIP HAS RESPONDED
Honoured to witness unwavering commitment from:
- KZN Premier
- Deputy Minister of Social Development
- KZN MEC of Social Development
They’ve committed to supporting ALL initiatives proposed and ensuring IMPLEMENTATION. This is what accountability looks like.
When government, private sector, and communities unite with purpose, transformation isn’t just possible it’s inevitable.
Tomorrow, we continue. The conversation doesn’t end here; the work begins now.
