This year marked a historic first as an all women UFS Law team competed in the prestigious 33rd Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot in Vienna, Austria. Engaging with complex legal issues and showcasing exceptional research, written advocacy, and oral argument skills.

We commend these students for representing the University of the Free State with distinction and for demonstrating the excellence that defines UFS Law.

With a distinguished career spanning more than 25 years, Prof Bohler Muller has established herself as a leading scholar in constitutional and international law, democracy, governance, social justice, and human rights. Her appointment reflects a commitment to research that not only advances knowledge but also creates meaningful impact in society.

The Faculty of Law is proud to celebrate this achievement and looks forward to the contribution her leadership will make in shaping research focused on human dignity, justice, wellbeing, and flourishing communities.
