The Interdisciplinary Centre for Digital Futures at the University of the Free State is launching a new Expert Series to spark critical conversations about the digital technologies that are shaping our world.
From e-waste management to digital labour, well-being, and heritage, the series will bring together leading scholars and stakeholders to explore how digital innovation can contribute to more responsible and sustainable societal futures.
The first session will take place on 19 March 2026, featuring Prof Thandazile Moyo from Pennsylvania State University, with UFS researcher Dr Mariana Erasmus as respondent.
Through dialogue, collaboration, and critical engagement, the series aims to inspire new ideas and research that respond to the digital challenges facing society today.
