The Free State Province is fortunate to have MEC Tate Makgoe as its MEC for Education. Indeed the future of our children is brighter than before.

You do good as a leader - those who are conscious of your efforts will celebrate you. When you do bad or don't deliver to their expectations - everyone this time, speaks negative of you, degrades you and criticizes you without once reflecting on the efforts you made to bring about significant change

Tomorrow's discussions and presentations by the Dean of Students who were short listed marks the very same issue. If we know so much on issues of Transformation and everything pertaining the full actualization of this complex word (Transformation) why don't we use these platforms to appeal to Top Management using our sobered mind and ask this simple question:
"How can I as a student leader be of assistance to the transformation processes of the institution"?

Then submit your suggestions, strategic plans of ex*****on and implementation then wait to find a response. This approach can be issued by the Student Representative Council and the Central Student Representative Council bearers. This is when we can distinguish a sober educated student from a trained student who is quick to oppose systems without never availing themselves to be part of such processes that would benefit not only the majority but everyone despite the different walks of life.

I feel personally, also I should say in my capacity as a student leader on this campus - we always quick to point out what could have been done, what was not done, how it could have been done, who to blame...and so forth, without never asking yourself a question: "How did I use my skills, knowledge, wisdom as a leader to play a role in ensuring that transformation processes at the University are effectively executed.

Its time we (Students, student leaders, compatriots and change drivers) begin to ask: WHAT ROLE CAN I PLAY TO ASSIST with the transformation of the University and to ensure students are been advocated for on fair bases. This can be done without allowing our naturally equipped mind to do comparisons based on race, ethnicity, religion, socio-economic backgrounds etc.... for we will forever find unbalanced results which will never take us forward but draw us back even more!
"Take a stand and assist - do not be a spectator of change, be the change" then everyone can benefit
