An inspiring afternoon of storytelling and creativity!

On 27 February 2026, renowned French author Kidi Bebey visited the students and invited guests of the Alliance Française de Bloemfontein, in collaboration with the University of the Free State, for a special presentation on creative writing.

25 students had the opportunity to learn directly from the author and explored the craft of writing, sharing ideas, and gaining hands-on experience in shaping their own stories.

We were also delighted to welcome Kidi Bebey to meet with the committee of the Alliance Française de Bloemfontein.

A heartfelt thank you to Dr. Albertus Barkhuizen for his time, organisation, and dedication in making this enriching event possible. Thanks to Kidi and Johann for their time and expertise shared on this day.
