oor Wanneer Ouer Kinders Leer Om 'n Sker Te Gebruik

Baie kinders word vir die eerste keer op 5- of 6- jarige ouderdom aan ’n skêr bekendgestel.
Terselfdertyd is daar kinders wat al op 2 jaar voorbereidende aktiwiteite doen, op 3 jaar snip, op 4 jaar op ’n breë lyn en al met ’n boog langs knip, en op 5- en 6-jarige ouderdom hul hande só goed saam gebruik dat hulle begin om prente uit te knip. Hoe nou gemaak? Is daar ’n blitskursus vir ouer kinders? Ouer kinders leer wel vinniger, maar hulle het nog steeds heelwat oefening nodig, want – alhoewel dit lyk asof dit maklik behoort te wees om ’n skêr te leer gebruik – bly dit ’n komplekse vaardigheid. En almal moet leer knip omdat dit hul hande voorberei om maklik te leer skryf.

Dear Friends and Supporters,

Today, I write this letter with a very full but worried heart.

As many of you know, I have stepped out of New Beginnings. While my role may have changed, New Beginnings will always remain a part of me. It will always be my baby, my child. Twelve years ago, I started New Beginnings from scratch with a dream, a deep love for animals, and a desire to make a difference. Through the years, we have witnessed countless miracles, lives saved, hearts healed, and animals given a second chance.

New Beginnings has never only been about animals. It has always been about people too. It has been about compassion, community, hope, and ordinary people coming together to do extraordinary things.

Because I know New Beginnings so well, I also know the reality behind the scenes. I know what it feels like to look at the bank balance and wonder how the next vet bill will be paid. I know the sleepless nights, the emergency calls, the feeding schedules, the rescues, and the responsibility of caring for hundreds of animals who are completely dependent on us.

Today, New Beginnings is facing a serious financial crisis. The shelter is under tremendous pressure, and funding has become critically low. There are many animals currently in their care who rely on them every single day for food, medical treatment, shelter, and love. Without financial support, the future becomes uncertain.

I understand that times are difficult. Many people are facing financial challenges of their own, and donations are not as easy as they once were. But I also know the hearts of the people receiving this message. Time and time again, you have stood by New Beginnings. You have helped when things seemed impossible. You have carried the organization through difficult seasons and helped save countless lives.

So today, I humbly ask that if you are able, and if it is on your heart, please consider making a donation towards New Beginnings. Any amount, no matter how small, will make a difference. Every contribution helps put food in bowls, pays towards veterinary care, and gives these animals another day of safety and hope.

The animals waiting behind those shelter gates have no one else to turn to. They depend on the kindness and generosity of people like you.

From the bottom of my heart, thank you for every donation you have ever made, every animal you have helped save, every share, every prayer, and every act of kindness over the years. Your support has meant more than words can express.
