REVOLUTIONARY GREETINGS.

Please note that students who are NOT in their final year, or who have NOT completed at least 60% of their academic credits, are required to submit an academic appeal based on the reasons for not meeting academic eligibility.

For example, if you were pregnant, hospitalised, or faced serious medical challenges, you are required to select the relevant reason on your NSFAS portal and submit supporting documents (such as a medical certificate) when lodging your appeal.

On the NSFAS portal, there are various appeal reasons, including:
• I have passed
• I was ill for two (2) or more months
• I gave birth during the academic term
• Death of an immediate family member during the academic year

You must appeal strictly according to the reason that applies to you.
You are required to submit only the supporting documents that you have.

⚠️ IMPORTANT CLARIFICATION:
Propensity Letter is ONLY required for FINAL-YEAR students.

This clarification is issued to address the confusion raised by students, as a communiqué was already released yesterday regarding this matter.

We urge students to read all SRC communications carefully and follow the instructions provided.

Final-year students who have less than 50 credits outstanding and have faced challenges ( FEBIT and Health &Environmental Faculty) where HODs are unable or unwilling to sign may try again *if they continue to experience difficulties.*

In such cases, students are advised to contact the Faculty Administrator for further assistance.

Dear Students,

It is with profound sorrow that the Student Representative Council (SRC) announces the tragic passing of our beloved fellow student, Masooane Lebohang. A shining star in our academic community, Lebohang was pursuing a B.Ed (SP&FET) Language Education.

Her untimely departure on August 12th, 2024, has left an unfillable void in our hearts and a deep sense of loss in our community. We extend our most sincere and heartfelt condolences to her family, friends, and all those who had the privilege of knowing her.

May Lebohang’s precious soul rest in eternal peace and comfort. May her memory continue to inspire us to cherish life, pursue our dreams, and support one another through the ups and downs of our academic journey.
