On 27 May, Olive Ridge Primary School proudly hosted the district Eskom Science Expo. Learners from Olive Ridge Primary School, Christian Brothersβ College and Martie du Plessis Bloemfontein showcased their incredible science projects and were judged on their hard work, creativity, and innovation. We are so proud of all the learners who participated and represented their schools so well! π§¬π§ͺ

This termβs theme was Africa, where our learners had the opportunity to explore the rich cultures, traditions, music, food, and creativity found across the continent.
Each term, we choose a different country or theme for our learners to discover and learn about, creating a fun and interactive cultural experience for everyone involved. πΏπ¦π

Project Week Day 4 ππ§
Today our learners took part in a fun African-themed obstacle course! They had to balance βwaterβ on their heads while making their way across a βriverβ using different obstacles along the way. The activity encouraged teamwork, balance, coordination and lots of laughter! π

Today our learners enjoyed an exciting African animal scavenger hunt around the school grounds, searching for hidden African animals ππ¦π
Afterwards, they took part in an African Animal Race where they raced like the animals themselves! πΈππ¦π
Learners hopped like frogs, stomped like elephants, stretched like giraffes, and crawled like crocodiles. It was a fun-filled day of movement, learning, and imagination! β¨
