Many of you would recall that we established the Ecological Engineering Institute of Africa way back in 2015. For the past seven years we have continued to establish valuable networks, focus on expanding research in the field of ecological engineering and continued with the journey to create awareness regarding the importance of the field in addressing some of our most pressing sustainability challenges, especially across Africa.
There is a very important announcement that will be made very soon regarding the future of the EEIA and the formalization thereof in a prominent tertiary institution in South Africa. I am really excited of what the future holds for the EEIA in an era of post normal science we find ourselves in. This will not only be a first for South Africa, but a first for Africa.
Thank you to all of my connections who have supported me over the years and believed in this vision. Thank you for keeping the dream alive. It is finally here!
