ALFRED NZO DISTRICT MUNICIPALITY TO HAND OVER CONTRACTOR FOR LUNCEDWENI WATER SUPPLY SCHEME

The Alfred Nzo District Municipality (ANDM) Executive Mayor, Cllr. Tsileng Sobuthongo will, on Wednesday, 26 August 2026, officially hand over a contractor for Luncedweni Water Supply Scheme in Ward 17, Ntabankulu Local Municipality.

Luncedweni Water Supply Scheme is funded through the Water Services Infrastructure Grant (WSIG) and will benefit the communities of Luncedweni and Dedelo villages.

The project includes the improvement of the spring water source and borehole, construction of approximately 5km of water reticulation, installation of communal standpipes and associated water infrastructure.

This project has a contract value of approximately R3.997 million, with a planned implementation period of four months. It is expected to create approximately 15 local employment opportunities and impact an estimated 70 households.
