Tomorrow marks the beginning of Term 3, the second-last lap of the academic year. This is not the time to slow down—it is the time to dig deep, stay focused, and give your very best.

To our learners:
Come to school ready to succeed. Be on time, wear the correct school uniform, bring all your books and stationery, and be prepared to work from Day 1. Every lesson counts, every mark matters, and every day is another opportunity to move closer to your goals.

This is a friendly reminder to please confirm your child's placement as soon as possible.

Please note that if placement is not confirmed by 15 June, the system may automatically confirm your learner at another school. Failure to confirm by the deadline will also be taken as an indication that you no longer require the placement offered at our school, and the space may then be allocated to another learner.

We encourage you to complete the confirmation process before 15 June to avoid disappointment.

📢 GRADE 8 ADMISSIONS 2027 – IMPORTANT NOTICE 📢

Bishop Lavis Secondary School would like to remind all parents/guardians of learners who have received a placement offer for Grade 8 (2027) to confirm acceptance of the placement on or before 15 June 2026.

📌 Supporting documents must be submitted directly to the school office as soon as possible to finalise the admissions process.

📌 Internal Appeals Parents who wish to appeal a placement decision may submit an appeal directly to the school. The appeals process will close on 26 June 2026.

📌 Appeal Outcomes The outcomes of all appeals will be communicated during the first week of Term 3.

Congratulations to our chess teams on their final league matches against The Range High School!

Results: ♟️ U15: BLHS 3 – 3 The Range HS
♟️ U19: BLHS 4 – 2 The Range HS

A special congratulations to our U19 team, who completed the league season undefeated, finishing with an impressive record of 4 wins and 1 draw. Your strategic thinking, dedication, and determination throughout the season have been outstanding.

Today also marked the final league match for Tershwin Walters (12A) and Jean-Paul De Bruyn (12F), who have proudly represented Bishop Lavis High School's chess team since Grade 8. Thank you for your years of commitment, leadership, and sportsmanship. You leave behind a legacy that will inspire future BLHS chess players.
