🧠❤️ *Today, some of our Grade R learners stood on a world stage.* ❤️🧠

Today was a day we will never forget.

*Bollie* Nursery School had the incredible honour of representing the *FAST Heroes* programme at the *World Stroke Summit*.

A group of *20 of our Grade R* learners proudly *represented* not only Bollie Nursery School, but *all of their classmates*, as they took to the stage in front of healthcare professionals, researchers and stroke experts from around the world.

Watching them perform with confidence, enthusiasm and joy filled our hearts with pride. 🥹

*But today wasn’t just about a performance.*

It was about *empowering* *children* with *knowledge* that can *save lives.*

Through the *FAST Heroes programme*, our Grade RR and R learners are *learning to recognise the signs of a stroke* and, most importantly, that every minute counts. They take this *life-saving message* home to their parents, grandparents, neighbours and communities.

*Today reminded us of something extraordinary…*

_Children don’t have to wait until they’re adults to make a difference._

To the incredible *FAST Heroes South Africa team*, our dedicated *teachers*, our supportive *parents*, and to every one of our *Grade R learners*—thank you. *Whether you stood on the stage today or cheered from school*, you are all part of this life-saving journey.

We are deeply honoured to have *represented a movement that reaches far beyond our classroom walls.*

Because awareness creates action.

*Action saves lives.*

And sometimes…

As you know, we love getting involved in projects that are unique, meaningful, and truly make a difference. We have discovered something incredible, and we simply can't wait to share it with you...

‼️💙*Introducing the FAST Heroes Programme!*💙‼️

We are proud to announce that our teachers have been specially trained to present the *FAST Heroes* programme to our children *over and above the normal CAPS curriculum*.

The best part? *It is completely FREE!* All we need is your enthusiasm and support.

*FAST Heroes* is a fun, interactive educational programme designed for children from around the age of five. Through exciting stories, games, and classroom activities, children learn how to recognise the signs and symptoms of a stroke and, most importantly, understand the importance of acting *FAST*.

One of the most remarkable aspects of this programme is that it empowers children with knowledge that could one day help save a life. They learn what warning signs to look out for and exactly what to do if they ever notice someone showing the symptoms of a stroke.

Many of our children spend valuable time with their grandparents and older family members. However, it's important to remember that *a stroke can happen to anyone, at any age* not only to the elderly. Knowing what to do in those critical first moments can make an enormous difference.

🌟 *Who will be participating?*

Our *Hippo, Giraffe, Ellie, and Rhino Classes* will all be taking part in this exciting journey.

Throughout the programme, the children will enjoy engaging classroom activities using beautifully designed storybooks, stickers, posters, games, songs, and other interactive learning materials, all provided by the *FAST Heroes Team*.

🏡 *Learning continues at home!*

The learning doesn't stop at school. Parents will also have access to the *FAST Heroes online platform* where you can enjoy fun activities, games, and resources together with your child at home. This makes the programme a wonderful learning experience for the entire family.

At Bollie Nursery School, we are passionate about giving our children opportunities that go beyond the classroom. We believe this initiative is something truly special. Not only will our little ones have lots of fun, but they will also gain valuable life skills and knowledge that could one day make a real difference in someone's life.

We are incredibly excited to begin this journey and cannot wait to watch our children become *FAST Heroes!* We are sure you'll soon be hearing all about the wonderful *FAST Heroes* characters and the exciting activities from your little ones at home.
