Minimum Requirements:
• BEng / BSc / BTech / BEngTech in Electronic or Electrical Engineering
• Electronic Engineering qualification preferred
• 3+ years’ practical post-qualification experience
• Experience with electrical design, panel design, schematic drawings, control systems, VSDs, PLCs and drive systems
• Mining project experience essential
• Experience with heavy electrical mining equipment highly advantageous
• Must be able to work with technical drawings, BOMs, revision control and as-built documentation
• Fully bilingual: Afrikaans & English

The company’s work includes laser cutting, CNC bending, custom fabrication, CNC machining & milling, plate rolling, and welding & assembly, so this role suits someone who understands a proper engineering floor.

Requirements:

Proven experience as a Qualified Turner / Machinist
Strong experience in precision turning and fitting work
Able to cut threads accurately
Experience with milling is essential
Previous experience in a laser engineering, steel fabrication, CNC machining, or precision manufacturing environment is required
Must be able to work night shift
This is not a semi-skilled role — we need a fully experienced professional
Able to work accurately and maintain high quality standards

Duties may include:

Precision turning of engineering components
Thread cutting and fitting work
Milling and related machining duties
Working in a laser engineering and steel fabrication environment
Maintaining production accuracy and quality standards on night shift
