The two St Dunstan's College U16 rowers that were part of the Row SA U16 Development Team ( ) that toured to the UK 🇬🇧 returned home last week with medals.

Emihle Malavi attained 🥈2nd place in a Double Scull with King Edward VII School rower, Jesse Waldman.

Travis Mantle attained 🥉3rd place in a Coxless Quad Scull alongside three tenacious St Benedict's College rowers - Panayioti Savides, Kai Rowstone and Emiliano Van Heerden.

Congrats to all six athletes on great rowing and their results!

This year’s U16 Development squad had incredible success and adventures - well done to the entire squad and the coaches! 👏

With the rowing season having ended in March it was time to award sporting accolades to some of the St Dunstan's College rowing squad.

Absent from the assembly were Travis and Emihle who were touring in the UK 🇬🇧 as part of the .

St Dunstan's College bringing the ✨ sparkle and fun 🧚 to the 2026 South African National Rowing Championships!

They even tried out some new boats classes - pairs and a coxed four … Well why not! It was fun! 🤩

Two St Dunstan's College U16 rowers
- Travis Mantle and Emihle Malavi - have been invited to join the Rowing South Africa ( ) U16 Development Tour to the UK. These two tenacious athletes finished 4th and 5th in Single Sculls and took the 🥇Gold medal in the Double Sculls at the .

The squad is made up of exceptional rowing talent from fellow rowing schools including St Stithians College, St Alban's College, Holy Rosary School, St Benedict's College, St Andrew's School for Girls, St Mary's School, Jeppe High School for Boys, Hilton College and King Edward VII School.

We wish the the entire squad great racing and incredible adventures.

The St Dunstan's College rowing family gathered for the school rowing season ending Annual Dinner.

It is a bitter-sweet evening with trophies awarded, a guest speaker, and a farewell to our outgoing Rowing Captain and Senior Open, Loralei Mantle. Loralei will write her matric finals at the end of year and we wish her all success for her final year of school.

A windy final day of the saw the St Dunstan's College JM15 Doubles, JM 16 Doubles racing up as JM 19s and JW 19 Coxed Quad finish just outside qualification for their respective finals.

Well done to all the crews across all 3 days, and special congrats to our medalists.

Massive thank you to our coaches and our supporters for a great season!

An incredible 2nd day for St Dunstan's College at the !
- Our JM 14 Doubles won 🥇Gold and set a new event record!
- The JM 16 Doubles crew also won🥇Gold!

Our JW 15 and JW 19 Doubles rowed valiantly against fierce competition, with some of the crews narrowly missing out on their respective finals!

Great Day 1 of . St Dunstan's College rowing squad raced in the Single Sculls in numerous age-groups.

The JM 14 and JM 16 saw two scullers in each age-group qualifying for the final.
- In the JM 14 Luka Medurić powered his way to a 🥈Silver medal. While Blake Fick finished 4th, just outside the medal positions
- In the JM 16 the two scullers, Travis Mantle and Emihle Malavi, finished 4th and 5th respectively, in a close race for the final medal.
🎉Well done, boys!

Our girls made semi-finals in JW 16 and JW 19, but didn’t progress to finals.

Looking forward to two more exciting days of rowing!
