They said I can never amount to anything. They said I am a slow learner. They also said I am good but not good enough.

My parents don't believe I can do more than what I have done. The society has declared defeat over my life. Not many believe that I can be above the average Joe and do the best.

You said in your word that I am more than a conquerer. Your word also said I am fearfully and majestically made. It continues to say that I am the head and not the tail of royal priesthood.

Today I choose to listen to your word. In it I believe for it is alive and powerful.

First it was easy seeing one friend become successful and then everyone around me did. That made me feel somehow. I felt like I am doing everything wrong. It hurts sometimes...

Knowing you and the plans you have for my life means I have no need to worry. Reading your word gives me comfort. I now understand that my time has not come but it is around the corner. Seeing them become successful says that I'm hanging around people who are ambitious and making it in life. That gives me the certainty that you are preparing my success and creating an environment to absorb.

Teach me to be patient on your blessings. Help me learn to appreciate the challenge and to be inspired by people around me who are succeeding in their endeavours.
