Special thank you to our judges, Tlale Makhene Tlale Makhene and Ntombizivumile Qupe vumile for sharing their expertise, and to the dedicated teachers and coaches who trained, guided and prepared each band for the competition.

The Mandoza Foundation, in partnership with the Sibikwa Arts Centre, is facilitating a CATHSSETA-accredited training programme based on SAQA Unit Standard 115487: Facilitate Learning in Arts and Culture Programmes and Modules.

Taking place at Alexsan Kopano Resource Centre until 11 September 2026, the training is equipping 30 candidates with practical skills in community arts facilitation.

By the end of the programme, all 30 candidates will have completed their arts facilitation accreditation, strengthening their capacity to facilitate meaningful arts and culture programmes within their communities.

Together, the Mandoza Foundation and Sibikwa Arts Centre are investing in youth skills development and creating pathways for young people to grow and contribute meaningfully to the arts and culture sector.

Seriti Sa Basadi 2026 brought the music, dance, poetry, good food, beautiful finds and even better company! 🌸💃🏾🎶To our incredible performers and vendors — thank you for bringing your talent and creativity to Sibikwa and making the festival a success.

We’re grateful to our funding partners, Department of Sport, Arts and Culture, Gauteng Province Sports, Arts, Culture and Recreation, and the Federation of Gauteng Community Arts, and our community partners, Young Women’s Christian Association of South Africa, Ntando Thando NPO and Organisation for Young Women’s Dignity, for helping us bring the festival to life.
