Benoni West Primary School is excited to announce that Grade R enrolments for the 2027 academic year open on 3 August 2026.

We invite parents and guardians to collect application forms from the school office between Monday and Friday, 08:00 – 14:00.

📌 Please ensure you bring all the required supporting documents as listed on the flyer.

| APPLICATIONS FOR GRADE 1 & GRADE 8 OPEN ON 5 AUGUST

Gauteng MEC for Education, Sport, Arts, Culture and Recreation, Lebogang Maile, has announced that applications for the 2027 Online Admissions for Grade 1 and Grade 8 will officially open at 08h00 on Wednesday, 5 August 2026, and close at 00h00 (midnight) on Friday, 4 September 2026.

Parents and legal guardians are encouraged to prepare early by gathering the required supporting documents, verifying their information and familiarising themselves with the application process before the system opens.

Together, let's ensure every learner has the opportunity to access quality public education.

📢 2027 ONLINE ADMISSIONS | Grade 1 & 8 application period to be announced soon

Gauteng MEC for Education, Sport, Arts, Culture and Recreation, Lebogang Maile, assures parents and guardians that the application period for Grade 1 and Grade 8 will be announced soon, and encourages parents to use this time to prepare the required supporting documents.

Dear Parents and Guardians,

Please note that learner report cards will not be issued this term as scheduled due to a technical issue affecting the SA-SAMS system used by schools across Gauteng, as outlined in the attached media statement from the Gauteng Department of Education.

We apologise for the inconvenience and the short notice. Unfortunately, this matter is beyond the school's control. A letter will be sent to parents in Term 3 with details regarding the collection of report cards once the system has been restored and reports have been finalised.

Please find attached an updated Newsflash regarding the passing of our Principal, Mr K.L. Mampane.

Kindly note that changes have been made to the initial notice that was sent out earlier. The school will now be closed on Wednesday, 10 June 2026, and Thursday, 11 June 2026. We therefore request that all parents/guardians read the revised notice carefully.

We continue to keep the Mampane family, friends, colleagues, learners, and the entire Benoni West Primary School community in our thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.

Please find attached an important Newsflash regarding the passing of our Principal, Mr K.L. Mampane, that was supposed to go home with the learners today.

Kindly take note that the school will be closed on Wednesday, 10 June 2026, as all staff members will be attending the Memorial Service.
