🇿🇦 9 August 1956
Over 20,000 women marched to the Union Buildings in Pretoria.
Black, white, Indian, Coloured — standing together.
They left 14,000 petitions and stood in 30 minutes of silence to protest unjust laws.
Their courage shook a nation.
Their unity built a legacy.
Today we honour them.
Today we continue their fight.

What is Mandela Day?
Mandela Day is celebrated every year on 18 July - Nelson Mandela's birthday.
It was started by the United Nations in 2009 to honour the legacy of Nelson Mandela and his 67 years of service to humanity.
The idea is simple: Give 67 minutes of your time to help others.
1 minute for every year he spent fighting for human rights, equality and education.
People around the world use the 67 minutes to volunteer, donate, teach, clean, feed, mentor or support their communities.
The theme is: "It is in your hands" to make a difference.

Almost time for closing the books on another term with full hearts.
So grateful for the freedom to learn, to pause for games breaks, to dive deep into academics, and to do it all together.
Yes we did the hard stuff. But we also made room for joy. That’s the win.
