Congratulations to Caitlyn Dube, Tanatswa Chandiwana and Tafadzwa Chandiwana who participated in the CANA Zone IV Championships in Botswana recently.

A special mention to Caitlyn Dube, who was appointed Captain of Team South Africa, and to Tanatswa Chandiwana and Tafadzwa Chandiwana, who were selected as Team Zimbabwe Captains.

My name is Kendall Taylor, and I am in Grade 12 Baobab House. I began my journey at St Andrew’s in Grade 3. The one St Andrew’s value with which I identify the most is Balance. My name is Nyakallo Sebapalo, and I am in Grade 12 at Marula House. I started at St Andrew's in Grade 1. The one value at St Andrew’s with which I identify most, is Community. Throughout all my years in school, St Andrew's has given me a space and many opportunities to meet wonderful people whom I am proud to call my friends. And through my experiences of meeting and knowing all these people, St Andrew's has taught me that during the hard times, I will always have a community behind me - pushing me and rooting for me. Sun City Tennis Tournament

Thursday’s final matches were incredibly competitive, with both our teams taking their matches right down to the wire.

Our B Team went down 5–4 to DSG B in a great final, finishing as the 2nd B Team at the tournament. What a fantastic effort from the girls!

Our A Team also battled it out in a closely contested final, with the result coming down to the very last game — and ultimately a tie-break! Our A Team came out on top to WIN the tournament!

We are incredibly proud of all the girls for their determination, teamwork and fighting spirit throughout the tournament. What a fantastic start, and we’re looking forward to a great season of tennis ahead!

MATRIC FEATURE | JIYA BAHAAR

My name is Jiya Bahaar, and I am in Grade 12 Karee. I started at St Andrew's in Grade 4. The BIG CAT value I identify with most is Trust. My time at St Andrew's has taught me the value of trusting the process, as well as my teachers, peers, and myself. It has taught me that no matter how hard times may seem, the hardship will pass, and I am not alone. The greatest skill I have learned at school is teamwork. In my 5 years as part of the choir, I have learned that focusing simply on yourself is not the best option, but that we have to think of ourselves as part of a greater team in order to perform at our best. After schooI, I plan to study nursing to help the community and incorporate my interest in both science and humanities. 💙❌💙
