A successful season for SAHETI High School Soccer !

Our teams have enjoyed a successful and action-packed season, competing in the Independent Schools Soccer League and several prestigious tournaments.

Congratulations to our:
🥉 U15 team for securing an impressive 3rd-place finish out of 16 schools
🏅 U17 team for finishing 4th out of 16 schools at the Pinnacle Cup
🏆 Open team for winning the Steyn City Football Tournament

Throughout the season, our players have displayed determination and sportsmanship, proudly representing SAHETI School both on and off the field.

Youth Day is a reminder of the important role young people play in shaping communities, driving change and building the future.

At SAHETI School, we are proud to support and empower students as they grow into confident, compassionate and capable leaders.

Following our World Oceans Day activities this week, the children at SAHETI Pre-Primary School enjoyed a sea-creature-themed dress-up day while learning about the importance of protecting our oceans and marine life.

As part of our conservation project, we are proud to announce that, following an initiative by our Greek Department, we have adopted a loggerhead turtle hatchling through ΑΡΧΕΛΩΝ-Archelon, the Sea Turtle Protection Society of Greece. Our hatchling has been named Σαχετάκι.

This special adoption has given our children the opportunity to learn about the work of ARCHELON and, through their Greek lessons, to develop an understanding of the concept and value of friendship — not only with people, but also with other living beings, especially those in need of protection.

At the same time, it reflects our commitment to nurturing environmental awareness and helping children understand how they can make a positive difference in protecting our planet and its wildlife.

Με αφορμή τις δράσεις μας για την Παγκόσμια Ημέρα των Ωκεανών αυτή την εβδομάδα, τα παιδιά του Νηπιαγωγείου του ΣΑΧΕΤΙ απόλαυσαν μια ημέρα όπου ήρθαν στο σχολείο ντυμένα με στολές με θέμα τα θαλάσσια πλάσματα, μαθαίνοντας παράλληλα για τη σημασία της προστασίας των ωκεανών μας και της θαλάσσιας ζωής.

Στο πλαίσιο του προγράμματος περιβαλλοντικής ευαισθητοποίησης, έχουμε την ευχαρίστηση να ανακοινώσουμε ότι, με πρωτοβουλία του Ελληνικού Τμήματος, υιοθετήσαμε ένα νεοσσό θαλάσσιας χελώνας καρέτα-καρέτα μέσω του συλλόγου «ΑΡΧΕΛΩΝ», που είναι ο Σύλλογος για την Προστασία της Θαλάσσιας Χελώνας της Ελλάδας. Το χελωνάκι μας ονομάστηκε «Σαχετάκι».

Αυτή η ξεχωριστή υιοθεσία έδωσε στα παιδιά μας την ευκαιρία να γνωρίσουν το έργο του συλλόγου «ΑΡΧΕΛΩΝ» και, μέσα από το μάθημα των Ελληνικών, να κατανοήσουν την έννοια και την αξία της φιλίας — όχι μόνο μεταξύ των ανθρώπων, αλλά και με τα υπόλοιπα όντα, ιδιαίτερα εκείνα που χρειάζονται προστασία.

Παράλληλα, αντικατοπτρίζει τη δέσμευσή μας για την καλλιέργεια περιβαλλοντικής συνείδησης και για το να βοηθάμε τα παιδιά να κατανοήσουν πώς μπορούν να συμβάλουν θετικά στην προστασία του πλανήτη μας και της άγριας ζωής του.
