The North West Treasury invited IIA South Africa (IIA SA) to participate in the CAE and CRO Forum held in September at the Kingsgate Hotel in Rustenburg.

IIA SA presented on “Building a Professional, Competent and Sustainable Internal Audit Function,” highlighting key considerations for strengthening internal audit functions and “Global Internal Audit Standards – What Municipalities Need to Know,” focusing on the relevance and application of the Standards within the municipal environment.

Both sessions provided an opportunity to engage with Chief Audit Executives, Chief Risk Officers and key stakeholders on strengthening governance, risk management and internal audit practices.

Xolisile Mngwevu, Regional Portfolio Manager at IIA SA, delivered both presentations and represented IIA SA at the Forum.
