Smiley Kids is an Early Childhood Development Association with deep rooted Christian values and principles. The Smiley Kids concept was developed in early 1995. We have grown to become a ‘one-stop centre’ of learning for children between 3 months and 6 years. Our aim is to provide excellent and affordable education. The extensive curriculum is continually researched and changed to encapsulate and embrace the multicultural communities we function in. We have a holistic approach to child development and our aim is to raise the benchmark by which early childhood education is measured to ensure well educated future generations.

Learning to wait patiently teaches learners to respect others and helps prevent pushing, rushing and accidental collisions.

Walking areas should stay free of toys and obstacles so little feet can move safely without tripping.

🤲 Every Little Grasp is a BIG Achievement! 🤲

As babies learn to reach, hold, and grab, they are building important foundations for their development.

Each little attempt helps strengthens their tiny hand muscles, improves coordination, and develop hand-eye coordination as they begin connecting what they see with what they can touch and hold. 👀🤲

Grasping is an important step towards future skills such as feeding themselves, stacking blocks, drawing and eventually writing. ✏️

But it is not just about physical development! As babies pick up and explore different objects, they discover textures, shapes and weights, helping their brains build important sensory connections. 🧠

And perhaps most importantly, every successful grasp brings a little boost of confidence:

At Smiley Kids, we believe that safety starts with simple daily habits.

One of the most important routines is packing away toys after playtime.

When learners help tidy up, it keeps classrooms organised, reduces clutter on the floor, and helps prevent trips and falls. It also makes it easier for everyone to move around safely and enjoy a calm, welcoming learning environment.

Encouraging learners to take responsibility for packing away their toys helps build independence, teamwork, and respect for their environment.
