This is such a HUGE milestone for Make A Difference Leadership Foundation Founder and Chairman, Mr Francois Pienaar!

To know that over 35 UBambiswano students also benefitted from his legacy of opening access for our student to attend private and former model C schools, as well as access higher education in South Africa.

😊 Our Grade 9 students closed the term with a career talk that focused on exposing them to Humanities/Education/Law faculties.

We will do these themed career talks at the end of each term to help expose them to professionals in different disciplines.

Yesterday we had Mr Asakhe Cuntsulana(An Educator and professional musician) and Ms Sinazo Kos(A professional Journalist) who both shared their journeys from background to subject selection, university journey till their working experience.

Asakhe even did some music creation with them using Adungu, a Ughandian Harp- as one of his specialists instruments from the range of instruments he plays.

Sinazo shared her journey of audition as a young age of 13 to grabbing all opportunities she was presented with and how that had landed her where she is an a journalist.

If you’d like to be part of our Commerce and Science (+Health Science+Engineering) talks, do let us know. 🌟

Our students had an engaging Science session with Dr Nompumelelo Baso-Mdiza! 🔬✨

PhD in Botany | Freshwater Ecology | PDP Postdoctoral Fellow

They learned about her inspiring journey from a rural Eastern Cape girl to earning a PhD in Science, showing them what is possible with determination and passion.

The session was highly interactive—students used strings to model energy flow across different trophic levels and explored what happens in diverse vs. non-diverse ecosystems. By simulating the removal of organisms, they could see firsthand how ecosystems respond and which species survive.

In the pictures, you’ll spot students holding images of the animals they represented, each playing a role within different trophic levels.

We had an incredible trip with the St Andrew's School for Girls Parents Association (PA) to Etwatwa and Daveyton 😊!

What an enriching experience, full of reflections and more! 👏

Mrs Irene von Knoblauch-Dreyer, the current Chair of the PA, said: “Our team was truly inspired to keep building our relationship with uBambi and growing the 100 Club to give more kids access to your amazing school!”

Grade 5s kicked off the cooking classes with flapjacks and Grade 6s joined in with jam crumble biscuits 🥐. The aroma's got everyone buzzing - who's turn is next? 😄 At Ubambiswano, cooking classes equip students with essential life skills like measurements (Maths 📝), following instructions (Language 🤓), and understanding nutrition (Life Sciences 🥗). Who knew cooking could be so academic?
