We are incredibly proud of Weiru Yan, who recently travelled to Italy to further her piano studies at the inspiring ArtePiano Music Festival in Castelnuovo di Farfa.

Set in the beautiful Italian countryside, ArtePiano brings together talented young musicians with internationally renowned teachers for intensive one-to-one lessons, workshops, seminars and inspiring performances. More than just a music festival, it offers a warm and supportive community where students can grow, connect and be inspired through their shared love of music. 🎶

Weiru’s journey doesn’t stop there! We are delighted to share that she has also been accepted to compete in the National Youth Music Competition, taking place in Cape Town this December. 🇿🇦🎹

Congratulations, Weiru! We can’t wait to see where your musical journey takes you next. 🌟

What a week it’s been celebrating our Matric Class of 2026 as they wrapped up their final week of formal school before trials begin and the final steps towards the end of their school journey get underway.

From Anything But a Bag Day and Decorate Your Uniform Day to Prank Day, our Matrics certainly made the most of their final week! And, of course, we ended it the Ashton way - with our traditional ringing of the bell and pool jump as they take the leap into this next chapter. 🔔💦

To our Matrics of 2026: we’re wishing you all the very best! We’re backing you every step of the way. Deep breaths. Hold onto hope. Believe in yourselves. You’ve got this!

🎶🌍 The Senior College Tour Choir took to the stage at SCL on Tour at Sun City, performing a vibrant and varied programme featuring traditional African, German, Gospel and American songs.

🎓✨ MATRIC WEEK IS OFFICIALLY UNDERWAY! ✨🎓

We kicked things off with our Matric Thank You Tea, where our Matrics had the chance to thank their teachers for all the guidance, support and dedication throughout their school careers.

Of course, we couldn’t leave it there! Our quiz had everyone guessing - especially when the baby photos came out! 👶📸

A huge thank you to all the parents who helped make the Matric Tea such a success. 💐

Then came Anything But a Bag Day… and our Matrics understood the assignment! 🎒❌

Learning the rules of the road…always have a spare tyre. 🛞 Well, our Matrics took that advice on their back…

From catching books and not feelings 🎣 and putting all their eggs in one basket, there certainly was no shortage of creative alternatives to the humble school bag. 📚🧺
