Gedurende Kinderbeskermingsweek het ons Graad 6- en Graad 7-leerders, saam met ouers, die voorreg gehad om ’n insiggewende en betekenisvolle bewusmakingsessie oor boeliegedrag en gesinsgeweld by te woon.

Die sessie het gefokus op:
✔️ Die impak van boeliegedrag en gesinsgeweld
✔️ Die rol van die hof in die beskerming van kinders
✔️ Kinders se regte en veiligheid

’n Opregte dankie aan die Hoftussengangers van die Atlantis-Landdroshof en al die betrokke rolspelers – SAPS, Departement van Korrektiewe Dienste, NICRO en alle vennote – vir julle waardevolle bydrae om ons kinders op te voed, te beskerm en te ondersteun.

Saam bou ons aan ’n veiliger toekoms vir elke kind. 💚

🔹 Intermediate Phase Educator (Maternity Contract)
• Duration: 4 Months
• Grades: 5 & 6
• Subjects include: Social Sciences, Life Skills (PSW & PE), Afrikaans HL

🔹 Foundation Phase Educator (Contract Post)
• Duration: 02 May – 31 December 2026
• Grade: 1
• Subjects include: English HL, Afrikaans FAL, Mathematics, Life Skills

✅ Minimum Requirements:
• Final-year B.Ed student or qualified educator
• Valid SACE registration (or proof of application)
• Ability to teach in required LoLT (Afrikaans or English depending on post)

• Professionalism, reliability & teamwork

With heavy hearts, we share the sad news of the passing of Mr. Van Rensburg this morning.

Mr. Van Rensburg, a valued member of the non-teaching staff at Protea Park Primary, dedicated many years of service to our school. His presence, support, and quiet contributions played an important role in the daily life of our school community. Even after his retirement in 2023, he remained fondly remembered by all who knew him.

He will be remembered for his kindness, willingness to help, and the positive impact he had on both staff and learners.

Our thoughts and heartfelt condolences go out to his family, friends, and everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.

Rest in peace, Mr. Van Rensburg. You will be dearly missed. 🕊️

Protea Park Primary School invites all parents and guardians to attend our Report Card Collection Meeting for Term 2.

🗓 Date: 9 April
⏰ Time: 18:00

📌 Important to note:
• Report cards will NOT be sent home with learners
• Only a parent or responsible adult may collect the report
• No learners will be allowed to collect on behalf of parents
• Attendance is COMPULSORY to receive your child’s report

🚸 Week 1 Departure Times:
• Gr RR & R – 13:00
• Gr 1–3 – 13:30
• Gr 4–7 – 14:00

👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Parents / Adults only – no learners allowed at collection.

We encourage all parents to attend and take this opportunity to discuss your child’s progress with teachers.
