Ashton Vocational Academy wil graag vir Unipack Fruit hartlik bedank vir die wonderlike geleentheid om meer te leer oor die verpakking en hantering van citrusvrugte.
Ons leerders het waardevolle praktiese kennis opgedoen en eerstehands gesien hoe die proses in die bedryf werk. Hierdie ervaring het nie net hul kennis verbreed nie, maar ook hul passie vir landbou en die sitrusbedryf versterk.

Ashton Vocational Academy would like to sincerely thank Unipack Fruit for the wonderful opportunity to learn more about the packing and handling of citrus fruit.
Our learners gained valuable practical knowledge and had the opportunity to see firsthand how the process works within the industry. This experience not only broadened their knowledge, but also strengthened their passion for agriculture and the citrus industry.

🍰 Hospitality Studies 🍰

Today the learners spoiled the rest of the school with delicious pumpkin pie! 🧡We are also learning about vegetable processing and the art of baking.Practical learning is fun and teaches valuable skills for the future! 👩‍🍳👨‍🍳

Ons Landbou leerders leer oor die pluk en hantering van suurlemoene.
Deur praktiese ervaring het hulle nie net nuwe vaardighede aangeleer nie, maar ook die waarde van spanwerk, verantwoordelikheid en landbou beleef. Dit is besonders om te sien hoe ons jongmense groei deur praktiese opleiding. 🍋 👨‍🌾👩‍🌾🚜

Our Agricultural students learn more about the picking and handling of lemons.
Through hands-on experience, they not only learned new skills, but also experienced the value of teamwork, responsibility, and agriculture. It is special to see our young people grow through practical training. 🍋 👨‍🌾👩‍🌾🚜

Ons Onderhoud leerders het dié week geleer hoe om teëls te sny en in patrone te pak. 🧱🔨

Our Maintenance learners learned this week how to cut tiles and lay them in patterns. 🧱🔨

Ons het vandag die voorreg gehad om saam by die skool ’n Hemelvaartdiens by te woon. Ons is dankbaar vir ons skool, ons gemeenskap en al ons seëninge. Mag dit vir elke ouer, onderwyser en voog ’n geseënde en spesiale dag wees. 🙏🏻✨

Today we had the privilege of attending an Ascension Day service together at school. We are grateful for our school, our community, and all our blessings. May it be a blessed and special day for every parent, teacher, and guardian. 🙏🏻✨

All schools in the Western Cape will be open on Wednesday, 13 May 2026.

Schools affected by storm damage or access issues may apply for closure on a case-by-case basis and will inform parents directly.

We urge the public to only rely on official communication channels such as the WCED website and social media accounts. If a school has been approved to close due to specific circumstances, the school will communicate this directly to parents and guardians.
