👂🏻🧝🏻‍♀️ Learning to draw ears is quite the task... so out came some Lord of the Rings references and, of course, lollipops 😆😆 I'd say they were rather impressive 😍

To understand shapes, you need to feel and experience them! The class had to build a replica of this Polarbear plushy, and then draw her with oil pastels (which was a new experience for most 😁).

Drawing noses👃 can be a pretty tricky concept to get across, so, of course, we started with a grapefruit 😆 And then gave it an OLD MAN'S nose 👏🏻👏🏻 It was great!!

🥳 We have a newbie joining us, which, of course means we celebrate with PAINT!! These sweet little koi fish have become a staple feature of our household since this fun lesson 😆😁 Clearly, they were a HIT! 🐟 🐠

😆 Blind Drawing is always so fun! It's especially difficult to accept that your hand is going to do a bunch of weird stuff! At least there were some yummy strawberries to munch when all the drawing was done! 🍓 🍓

This Collage Challenge took a few weeks to finish, but it was incredible to see the textures these girls created when they realised they didn't have to use flat, solid colours. Grapes became a brown flash, text became grey shadows and skin became fur 😁🦋🦋 I LOVE expanding imaginations!!

I love showing these kids how Artists make a living in the Real World, and how we interact with their work every day. In this project they had to design, make and paint a crown for a princess of their choosing (just like a Costume Designer) 👑 👸🏼

Every now and then, we all have a Bad Hair Day 😄 We played with patterns and colours to make a very unusual self portrait. SUPER fun!!And a real treat when the girls brought pictures from school that they'd made using these concepts 🥰🥰🥰

Q: Why don't I photograph older student's work?

A: They're particularly shy about their work & EVERYONE gets to choose what is shared

🌺🌺 This was such a fun experiment!! We splattered the background in with teabags and then crushed flowers to use their pigments to make coloured marks. Some selective pen lines and we have SUPER expressive dandelions 😍

🦊😴 Who doesn't need a sweet little sleepy fox curled up in their garden? We practised blending with acrylic paint (which isn't as easy as it looks) 😏
