L.A.Wesi sec school

Building a community starts with 1 household,we are all about changing mindset;thinking process...We are still digging the foundation....this is just warm up...our aim is 100:100(population of 300)

Who are we?

Let me tell you a story. I attended a high school named L. A Wesi SS in my hometown. Back in my days there was a small thing called an assembly, or parade; that damn thing was irritating. In stead of playing cards or chasing after girls and playing soccer early morning, before first class, we where forced to stand in an assembly of students like soldiers listening to people who talk about what they don't know.

There was one teach who use to tell us (the students) a story of how our school is named with a person's name and not something coiled and cool like Phenix. Latin Andris Wesi was a heck of a student among learners who where told and accepted that they will not amount to much in life. The stories are told of how the young man then carried the entire school on his shoulder with his peculiar attitude of excellence in everything he did. He dressed properly like a Duke, kept a neat hairstyle proper for school, he said yes Ma'am, sorry Sir, and thank you. He was culture.

It is said that the performance of the entire school rouse due to his challenging and daring performance. He did not just get distinctions, but he got got perfect scores. He throw a fit in a face of challenge that was made to the entire community that they will not amount to anything and he made a mockery of whoever made it. A black child? A black poor child getting perfect scores? It made no sense. Learner facilitators visited the school to investigate this phenomenon. It made no sense. Education ministers visited the school to investigate him. Everyone outside the school thought the principal is pulling a stunt. Most teacher in the school thought he had a tokoloshi that gave him answers. Like I said it made no sense.

The remarkable performance of this young black hope soon spread to be seen in the results of other students. The entire school was now bubbling with students who out perform their best. Average student where now performing above that and those who usually will perform above average where now outstanding. It was a miracle 3 years anyone has every seen. One student was a barometer of excellence and he carried a baton he light himself with pride and care; and so others followed. So, for the first time in years, my community was bubbling with hope.

Latin Andris Wesi was not seeing a light at the end of the tunnel, no., He was the light other looked upon. He did not impure hope, he was HOPE. and so my highschool was named after him, L. A. Wesi SS. This is who we are, we are Invictus maneo. We're established upon the giants who dared to face darkness and decided to glow. The great men and women who not only proved that each mind is a potential of good in the world but, actually nourished and blossomed to be the exact proof. When you see me, when you see that green and white with a dash of yellow, just know you're looking at Invictus Maneo, a great fellow who is never conquered.

This is who we are. We're Invictus Maneo, we remain unconquered.
