🔵CLEVER PLAY SCHOOL READINESS SCREENING TEST

Whether at home or in preschool, children develop the skills needed for “big school” through play and interaction—but are they truly ready to transition from concrete learning to abstract thinking, letters, and symbols?

Find out with the Clever Play School Readiness Screening Test. Book your assessment towards the end of the first school term in Grade R to gain insight into which developmental skills have been mastered and which still need support. This gives you time to strengthen your child’s physical, emotional, social, and cognitive readiness before the end of the fourth term.

The last six months of the year matter—make them count!

✏️Individual Assessment, Duration: 90–120 minutes

🔵APTITUDE TESTS FOR SCHOOL BEGINNERS (ASB)

The ASB is a cognitive screening assessment that evaluates a child’s readiness for formal schooling. It measures key aptitudes needed for success in the early foundation phase.

This assessment helps determine whether a child is developmentally ready for Grade 1 and identifies areas where support may be needed. Results provide valuable insights for teachers to develop a Learner Support Plan and offer practical guidance to parents.

The ASB assesses eight key areas:

• Perception
• Spatial ability
• Reasoning
• Numerical ability
• Gestalt (seeing the bigger picture)
• Coordination
• Memory
• Verbal comprehension.

Book your assessment in November to understand which skills are in place and which need support. The ASB can also be used for children already in Grade 1 to identify areas requiring additional support.
