We had so much fun exploring our Transport theme! ๐โ๏ธ๐ฆ
The children enjoyed going on an exciting train ride using chairs, where they pretended to be passengers travelling on a train. This encouraged movement, imagination, and social interaction. ๐
We explored the sky and airplanes using shaving foam, allowing the children to enjoy a fun sensory experience while learning about things that travel through the sky. โ๏ธโ๏ธ
The children also used their hands to paint a big blue sky, exploring colour and texture through messy sensory play. ๐๐จ
To finish off our transport activities, we finger-painted traffic lights, exploring the colours red, yellow, and green while developing their fine motor skills and creativity. ๐ฆ๐จ

We took a drive along a journey discovering and exploring different means of transport.๐โ๏ธ๐ณ๏ธ๐๐๐
We started off learning important rules of the road. Green means go, yellow means slow down and red means STOP โ๏ธ๐ฆ So we carefully stuck the correct colour paper to complete our robot.
We also did a colour matching animal rescue. We had to rescue animals off the tractor and place them in the same colour train carriage correctly.๐ฎ๐ท๐
Shape recognition was our next focus except this time with a twist. We had to move our car along each shape and identify what shape it was.๐ข๐ง๐บ

๐๐ Transportation Theme โ Our Final Week! ๐ฆ๐๏ธ
What an exciting way to wrap up our Transportation Theme in Blue Class! ๐ This week was filled with fun, hands-on activities that helped us learn while we played, explored and challenged our little minds.
๐ฒ Driving in Traffic!
We hopped onto our push bikes and pretended we were driving in traffic! Along the way, we learned about important rules of the road, such as stopping, looking, listening and following traffic signs. This activity helped develop our gross motor skills, coordination, balance and awareness of safety rules in a fun and meaningful way.
๐ง ๐ Memory Colour Game
Our little learners put their memories to the test! The teacher created a sequence using coloured bands, showed it to us, and then took it away. We had to remember the colours and put them back in the correct order. This is a wonderful activity for developing memory, concentration, visual perception, sequencing and cognitive skills. ๐ง โจ
๐๐๐ข Building Transportation with LEGO
We used small LEGO blocks to build different types of transport. This was not only lots of fun, but also a fantastic fine-motor activity! Building with small blocks strengthens the little muscles in our fingers and hands, which are important for future writing skills. It also encourages creativity, problem-solving, spatial awareness and planning as we think about how to construct our vehicles. ๐งฑ๐ญ
๐๐จ Following Instructions โ Painting Our Stop Signs
We followed step-by-step instructions to paint our very own STOP signs. Activities like this are excellent for 4-year-olds because they teach us to listen carefully, follow a sequence of instructions, develop concentration and practise self-control. Painting also strengthens hand muscles, improves pencil/brush control and encourages creativity. ๐จ๐
What a wonderful final week of learning about Transportation! We had so much fun discovering how things move, learning about safety and developing important skills through play. โค๏ธ
๐ฆ We learned, we explored, we built, we remembered and we had SO much fun! ๐

โจ๐ The Final Week of Our Transportation Theme! ๐ฆโ๏ธ
The final week has absolutely flown by! โ๏ธ๐จ Our Transportation theme has come to an end, and what a fun-filled journey it has been! ๐๐๐
โ๏ธ๐ค Fine Motor Fun!
We got those little fingers working hard with a rip-and-paste robot activity! ๐ค This helped strengthen our fine motor muscles, hand-eye coordination and concentration, while also encouraging creativity. We also learned what the different colours on a robot/traffic light mean! ๐ฆ๐ด๐ ๐ข
๐งฑ๐ Building & Creating!
Building our very own Lego transport was so much fun! ๐ง โจ We encouraged the children to think outside the box, use their imaginations and let their creative juices flow. The wonderful ideas they came up with were absolutely amazing! ๐
๐๐จ Stop, Look & Explore!
We had fun painting our very own STOP signs ๐ and then explored our senses by sprinkling and smelling bicarbonate of soda on the word STOP! ๐โจ A wonderful sensory experience while also recognising letters and connecting them to a familiar road sign.
๐คธโโ๏ธ๐ช Gross Motor Adventures!
Our gross motor activity was a blast! We climbed on, through and over, while practising our balancing skills. โ๏ธ๐งโโ๏ธ Even with all this cold weather, we kept our little bodies moving, building strength, coordination and confidence! ๐ชโ๏ธ
๐ฆ๐ And what better way to finish our week than with a little fantasy play?!
From pretending to race real cars ๐๏ธ๐จ, to stopping at the robot ๐ฆ and watching the pedestrians cross at the crossing ๐ถโโ๏ธ๐ถโโ๏ธ :our imaginations took us on one last exciting transportation adventure!
๐ What a wonderful journey Transportation has been! ๐
We have learned, explored, created, moved and, most importantly, had SO much fun along the way! ๐ฅฐ๐
๐๐๐โ๏ธ Until our next adventure, Coral Class!
