FROM A PARENTβ¨ Please readπ Share if you agree!
One of my friends asked "Why do you pay so much money for your kids to do Martial Arts?" Well I have a confession to make, I don't pay for my kid's martial arts training. Personally, I couldn't care less about Martial arts....π«’
So if I am not paying for martial arts, what am I paying forβοΈ
π₯I pay for those moments when my kids become so tired they want to quit but don't.
π₯I pay for those days when my kids come home from school and are "too tired" to go their clubs but go anyway.
π₯I pay for my kids to learn to be disciplined.
π₯I pay for my kids to learn to take care of their body.
π₯I pay for my kids to learn to work with others and to be good team mates.
π₯I pay for my kids to learn to deal with disappointment, when they don't get that belt they'd hoped for, but still have to work hard in the grading.
π₯I pay for my kids learn to make and accomplish goals.
π₯I pay for my kids to learn that it takes hours and hours and hours and hours of hard work and practice to create a black belt, and that success does not happen over night.
π₯I pay for the opportunity my kids have and will have to make life-long friendships.
π₯I pay so that my kids can be on the mats instead of in front of a screen...
I could go on but to be short, I don't pay for martial arts, I pay for the opportunities that martial arts provides my kids to develop attributes that will serve them well throughout their lives and give them the opportunity to bless the lives of others.
From what I have seen so far I think martial arts is a great investment!π₯π―π₯
Martial arts is a way of life !!π―π₯

Strong stances are the foundation of every Karate technique. π₯
Mastering Zenkutsu Dachi, Kokutsu Dachi, Kiba Dachi, Shiko Dachi, Neko Ashi Dachi, Sanchin Dachi, Hangetsu Dachi, and other fundamental stances improves balance, stability, power, and control. Build a solid base, and every block, punch, and kick becomes more effective.

π₯ DOJO ETIQUETTE β MORE THAN JUST RULES
A dojo is more than a place to learn kicks, punches and techniques. It is where we learn respect, discipline, self-control, humility and responsibility β values that extend far beyond the tatami.
Every dojo rule has a purpose.
π Bow when entering and leaving the mat β show respect for your dojo, your Sensei, your training partners and the traditions of karate.
π€« Listen when the instructor is teaching β be quiet, pay attention and give others the opportunity to learn.
π§ Sit correctly β good posture reflects discipline, respect and readiness to learn.
π€ Respect your training partners β treat everyone with courtesy, regardless of age, experience or rank. We train together and help each other improve.
π Listen without interrupting β when someone is speaking, give them your full attention.
π« Never leave the mat without permission β this ensures safety, discipline and order during training.
π₯ Support lower ranks β senior students have a responsibility to guide, encourage and set a good example for those coming through.
π Line up correctly by rank β the closing line-up teaches structure, humility and respect for the karate hierarchy.
π§Ή Keep the dojo clean β everyone shares responsibility for caring for the place where we train.
These arenβt simply rules to follow β they are habits we develop.
The discipline learned in the dojo carries into school, work, relationships and everyday life. Karate teaches us that becoming a better martial artist also means becoming a better person.
Respect. Discipline. Honour.
π₯ Train hard. Train with respect. Leave the dojo better than you entered it.
