Two toddlers, playing side by side but not quite together? That’s called parallel play and it’s a healthy, important stage in early social development. 🩵💛
 
At this age, children are learning simply by being near others. They observe, imitate and become more aware of their peers without yet needing to share or cooperate.
 
Watch how they glance at each other, copy actions or even swap toys for a moment. These small interactions are the very first signs of friendship and social awareness taking shape.🪁🧸
 
True back and forth play will come later but right now, this side-by-side play builds confidence, curiosity and comfort around others. 🧠
