Your child will never learn to respect your home if they have no stake in its upkeep.
Ownership is not a title; it is the sweat you put into something.

You provide everything. You clean everything.
You have created a beautiful, comfortable hotel for them to live in.

Let's call it what it really is.
They are not a member of the family. They are a long-term guest.

Why would they care about a mess they are not required to clean?
Why would they value a meal they did not have to help prepare?
They have no investment in the home, so they have no real respect for it.

But the child who mows the lawn feels a sense of pride in the garden.
The child who helps cook the meal feels a sense of ownership over the dinner table.
Their labor is the price of their belonging.

If you want your child to respect your home, you must make it their home.
And the only way to do that is to make them responsible for a piece of it.

Ella het die afgelope naweek aan SANESA se eerste kwalifiserende rondte vir 2025 deelgeneem. Sy het twee pragtige "Clear Rounds" behaal in die 50 cm Pony Competition en die 50 cm Pony 2 Fase. Verder het sy haar 50 cm Equitation met uitmuntende styl voltooi. Ons is ongelooflik trots op haar prestasies en sien uit na die res van die seisoen. 🐎🐴
