Akasia Nursery School The school opened in July 1996 with only twenty learners. Over the years Akasia Nursery has planted deep roots in the Akasia community and its families.

ts and support staff to grow and develop every child holistically. We focus on fun and educationalal play based activities planned around the ELDA curriculum and CAPS curriculum. The school is nesstled in a peaceful suburb in Akasia, close to main roads, clinics and shopping centres. Large open playgrounds, spacious classrooms, massive hall areas and more. Security, qualified staff, affordable fees and value added service is what we offer. Our Alumni of children in Primary, High school and Tersia Insititutions are flourishing because of the solid educational foundations that were formed in their foundation phases. 🎉 Celebrating 30 Years of Akasia Nursery School! 🎉

Yesterday we celebrated an incredible milestone—30 years of love, learning, laughter, and unforgettable memories.

What started as a dream has grown into a place where generations of children have been nurtured, encouraged, and loved. We are deeply grateful to every family who has trusted us with their little ones over the past three decades.

A very special thank you to Leonie Viljoen , our owner, whose vision, passion, and dedication have made Akasia Nursery School what it is today. Your commitment has touched the lives of so many children and families, and we are truly grateful for everything you have built.

To Maria, thank you for being part of this journey from the very beginning. Your 30 years of loyalty, hard work, and love have helped shape the heart of our school. You are a treasured part of the Akasia family.

To our incredible staff—past and present—thank you for your dedication, kindness, and the love you pour into our children every single day. You have all played an important role in our story, and we couldn't have reached this milestone without you.

Most importantly, to our amazing parents and families: thank you for trusting us with your precious children for the past 30 years. Your confidence, support, and partnership have meant everything to us. We would not be the school we are today without you. It has been an honour and a privilege to be part of your children's earliest years, and we are forever grateful for the memories we've shared together.

A preschool teacher can hear 20 children talking at the same time and still know exactly who said, "Teacher, he took my toy!" 😅

For the next 8 to 10 hours, we become more than teachers.
