🚨 READ THIS BEFORE YOU UNDERESTIMATE A PRESCHOOL TEACHER... 🚨
A preschool teacher can hear 20 children talking at the same time and still know exactly who said, "Teacher, he took my toy!" 😅
We can spot a child about to cry from across the playground.
We can turn tears into smiles, arguments into friendships, and ordinary moments into life lessons.
Every morning, parents hand us their most precious treasures—their children.
For the next 8 to 10 hours, we become more than teachers.
We become storytellers. 📚
We become nurses. 🤕
We become counsellors. ❤️
We become referees. ⚽
We become entertainers. 🎭
We become role models. 🌟
Some days we leave work exhausted.
Not because the work is difficult...
But because we have poured every bit of our energy, patience, love, and care into helping little humans become better versions of themselves.
One day, the child who struggles to hold a pencil will write stories.
One day, the child who is afraid to speak will stand confidently in front of crowds.
One day, the child who asks a thousand questions will become the person who changes the world.
And it all starts in a preschool classroom.
So the next time you see children playing, remember:
They are not "just playing."
They are learning.
They are growing.
They are discovering.
They are becoming.
And the teachers guiding them are helping build the future one little heart and one little mind at a time. ❤️
To every preschool teacher, daycare practitioner, assistant, and caregiver:
You may not always get the recognition you deserve, but the impact you make lasts a lifetime. 🌟
At Akasia Nursery school, we don't just care for children—we inspire dreams, build confidence, nurture talents, and help create the future leaders of tomorrow. ⭐

👨👩👧👦 This Week’s Theme: My Family 💛
Learning about “My Family” is such an important part of early childhood development. Through this theme, our little ones begin to understand where they belong and who the special people in their lives are.
Talking about family helps children build a sense of identity, love, and security. It also encourages them to express themselves, share their experiences, and appreciate that every family is unique and special in its own way.
By exploring this theme, we are not only developing language and social skills, but also nurturing emotional growth, empathy, and respect for others.
We love seeing our children proudly talk about their families it truly warms our hearts! 💕

A nap is not just a break from the day—it is vital work time for your preschooler’s brain. When children sleep in the early afternoon, their brains move new information from short-term to long-term memory. Research shows naps can help your child remember up to 40 percent more each day, building stronger focus and better problem-solving skills.
Missing a midday nap can make it harder for your child to hold onto what they learned that morning. The most powerful naps last about 60 to 90 minutes and happen before late afternoon. Shorter or late naps might not give enough time for deep memory work and can even disrupt nighttime sleep. That’s why regular naps support not only your child’s mood, but also their growing mind.
If your preschooler stops napping too young, their thinking skills and vocabulary may fall behind. Daytime sleep is how their brains protect and grow what they experience in the world. To help your child thrive, protect their daily nap. It is when small lessons become lasting knowledge."
Nobody talks about this part of childcare…
Yesterday was the last day of care for one of our babies.
She started with us this summer, just a tiny little thing. And somehow, in what feels like the blink of an eye, we watched her grow right in front of us.
We saw her take her first steps.
We introduced her to new foods and watched her light up when she liked something… and boy did she ever.
We got to be part of her everyday life.
And yesterday, we had to say goodbye.
Her dad got a new job, and their family is relocating. And while I am truly so happy for them and this new chapter they’re stepping into… my heart still broke watching them walk out the door.
Because she wasn’t just “a daycare kid.”
She was one of ours.
She was one of those kids… the sweet ones, the easygoing ones, the ones that just make your day better without even trying. The ones you genuinely look forward to seeing every morning.
And this is the part people don’t always see.
Yes, there are hard days in childcare.
Yes, there are overwhelming moments.
But there are also these moments…
where you realize just how much you’ve poured into a child… and how much they’ve meant to you.
As I told parents goodbye, I thanked them for trusting me. For allowing me to be a part of her childs life. For letting me witness all those little milestones that parents don’t always get to see during the workday.
And then they left.
And the house felt a little quieter.
This job is a job of the heart.
You can’t do this every day and not get attached. You can’t love on these kids like your own and not feel it when they’re gone.
I will miss her so much.
And I truly hope one day she comes back to visit… so I can see the little tiny human they become
