Congratulations to all our amazing students who participated in the recent Sanlam WOW Spelling Bee competition in the Namaqua District. We at the Academy want to congratulate our students, Joshua Van den Heever (2nd place – Stage 5), Maya Pienaar (1st place), Sion Pretorius (2nd place) and Milan Van Niekerk (3rd place) all in Stage 6 and, Snesipho Mketo (2nd place – Stage 8). Their hard work, dedication, and impressive spelling skills truly shone, and we could not be prouder. These five students will now move on to the provincial competition that will be take place on Saturday 7th September 2024 in Upington. A big thank you to our supportive parents for encouraging and motivating these young students. Together, we are celebrating not just the victories, but the courage and effort of every participant. Well done, everyone!

Some fun with our friends at Bright Beginnings today. The theme for this week was "My Five Senses". Therefore, they experienced first hand what certain things taste, smell and feel like. They could also see and touch it. Much fun was had! 🤪🥳

Allow us to introduce and warmly welcome our two new teachers that recently joined the team. In the Key Stage 2 department we have ms Tamrin Robertson, teaching English in Stages 4, 5 and 6 as well as History, Geography, Life Skills and RE in Stage 6.

In the Key Stage 3 department we have mrs Muriel Van Den Heever, teaching Science in Stages 7, 8 and 9 as well as Math in Stages 7 and 8.

Both of these two ladies have a great love for teaching and inspiring children. Welcome to the team ladies, may your journey with us be a blessed one! 🌟
