On Friday 4 September 2026, we joined South Africans all over the country in celebrating the National Council of and for Persons with Disabilities' Casual Day! 🇿🇦

It was a wonderful day filled with joy and surprises, celebrating the abilities and inclusion of all people with disabilities, as well as welcoming Spring 👩‍🦽🦻👨‍🦯🦿♾️🍃🌻🌸🌹🌼🌺🌷

Activities included jumping castles, a water slide and music, where everyone could find their own rhythm and then, "Beat as One" as per the 2026 Casual Day theme. 🪘 🎶 💦🍿🎉

Thank you to our parents, staff and stakeholders for supporting us with this initiative. Another huge thank you to our generous, anonymous sponsors who made the day even more special for our learners! 🍊 💦 Your contributions really allowed us to elevate this day and make it exceptional for our learners. 🤍🩵

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of "Mama Meggie", Megen Mathebula, on Friday 6 August 2026.

She was a dedicated, and long-serving member of staff who has accompanied our learners on the bus daily, since the opening of Tsakane Special School in 2014.

Your smile, patience and kind heart will be missed by learners, parents and staff alike.

As a school, we extend our heartfelt condolences and sympathy to the family during this time.

May your Soul Rest in Eternal Peace, Mama Meggie 🙏🕊✝️
