What an exciting few weeks at Bassmati School! 🌟🧪🎨🌍
From our Crazy Scientists Week filled with exciting experiments, bubbling reactions, and curious young minds, to Design Week where creativity and innovation took center stage, our students have been learning in the most hands-on and engaging ways!

During Africa Week, students explored the rich cultures, music, art, animals, and geography of Africa through interactive activities across all subjects. From active play and movement games to computer classes, art projects, science discoveries, and teamwork challenges, every lesson was connected with clear learning goals and meaningful benefits for our students.

At Bassmati School, we believe learning should be active, creative, and fun, helping children build confidence, curiosity, communication skills, and a love for learning every single day!

ابتداءً من أسبوع العلماء المجانين المليء بالتجارب الممتعة، والتفاعلات المدهشة، والعقول الصغيرة الفضولية، وصولًا إلى أسبوع التصميم حيث تصدّرت الإبداع والابتكار كل الأنشطة، عاش طلابنا تجارب تعليمية عملية وممتعة بكل معنى الكلمة!

وخلال أسبوع أفريقيا، استكشف الطلاب الثقافات الغنية، والموسيقى، والفنون، والحيوانات، والجغرافيا الخاصة بقارة أفريقيا من خلال أنشطة تفاعلية متنوعة في جميع المواد الدراسية. فمن الألعاب الحركية والنشاط البدني، إلى حصص الحاسوب، والمشاريع الفنية، والاكتشافات العلمية، وتحديات العمل الجماعي، ارتبطت كل حصة بأهداف تعليمية واضحة وفوائد حقيقية ومهمة لطلابنا.

Our Bassmati students assist with farm activities throughout the year. Through our class rotations, students take turns monitoring and caring for our farm animals, giving them the opportunity to interact with, help feed, and look after our chickens, sheep, and rabbits. 🐰🐣🐑
Our farm classes teach students valuable life lessons such as responsibility, trust, compassion, empathy, respect, and patience, helping them build meaningful connections with animals, nature, and one another.

‎يساعد طلاب مدرسة بصمتي في أنشطة المزرعة على مدار السنة. تساعد الدروس الصفية المبنية على التناوب طلابنا على مراقبة ورعاية حيوانات المزرعة، حيث يحصلون على فرصة للتفاعل، والمساعدة في إطعام ورعاية دجاجنا، وخرافنا، وأرانبنا. 🐰🐣🐑
‎تُعلّم دروس المزرعة طلابنا دروسًا قيّمة في الحياة مثل المسؤولية، والثقة، والرحمة، والتعاطف، والاحترام، والصبر، مما يساعدهم على بناء علاقات إيجابية مع الحيوانات والطبيعة ومن حولهم.

يُذكّرنا طلابنا كل يوم بالمعنى الحقيقي للصمود. فهم يقودون المشاريع، ويدعمون بعضهم البعض، ويبتكرون حلولًا للمشكلات بإبداع، ويواصلون الحلم بمستقبلٍ كبير ومشرق.

A Yemen expedition!

During Explorer Week our students were given a mission: plan an expedition from Sana’a to Oman , without using cars, planes or phones 🐪
Our students worked in their expedition teams all week to research and prepare their plans - meanwhile discovering lots of exciting facts about Yemen 🇾🇪, from different geographical regions and their terrains, to wildlife animals, temperatures and local food and customs.
As you can’t be a real explorer from a classroom only, the students spent a big part of the week outdoors 🌿 where they built shelters 🏕️, cooked over open fire 🔥 (and in a hole in the ground!), learned first aid ⛑️ and how to navigate with a compass 🧭, invented and built their own expedition tools 🛠️, collaborated across grades 1 to 9 to build the largest obstacle course the school has ever seen 🧗‍♂️, went on treasure hunts 🗺️ and took on both mental and physical challenges 💡💪, and even went on a real hike in the mountains ⛰️
The week was student-led learning in action - with the school bursting with creativity, teamwork and excitement for new learning ✨

خلال أسبوع المستكشف، أُعطي طلابنا مهمة: التخطيط لرحلة استكشافية من صنعاء إلى عُمان، دون استخدام السيارات أو الطائرات أو الهواتف 🐪

عمل الطلاب ضمن فرق الاستكشاف الخاصة بهم طوال الأسبوع للبحث وإعداد خططهم، وخلال ذلك اكتشفوا الكثير من الحقائق الشيّقة عن اليمن 🇾🇪، بدءاً من المناطق الجغرافية المختلفة وتضاريسها، وصولاً إلى الحياة البرية ودرجات الحرارة والأطعمة والعادات المحلية.

ولأن المستكشف الحقيقي لا يكتفي بالتعلّم داخل الصف، قضى الطلاب جزءاً كبيراً من الأسبوع في الهواء الطلق 🌿، حيث بنوا ملاجئ 🏕️، وطهوا على النار 🔥 (وحتى داخل حفرة في الأرض!)، وتعلموا الإسعافات الأولية ⛑️ وكيفية الملاحة باستخدام البوصلة 🧭، كما ابتكروا وصنعوا أدواتهم الخاصة بالرحلات 🛠️، وتعاونوا عبر الصفوف من الأول إلى التاسع لبناء أكبر مسار تحديات شهدته المدرسة على الإطلاق 🧗‍♂️، وشاركوا في البحث عن الكنز 🗺️، وخاضوا تحديات ذهنية وبدنية 💡💪، بل وذهبوا في رحلة مشي حقيقية في الجبال ⛰️

كان هذا الأسبوع مثالاً حياً على التعلّم الذي يقوده الطلاب، حيث امتلأت المدرسة بالإبداع وروح الفريق والحماس لاكتشاف معارف جديدة ✨

At Bassmati, creativity goes far beyond art and design. It’s about encouraging students to think differently, explore new perspectives, and approach challenges with confidence and originality. إليكم لمحة عن طلاب بصمتي وهم منخرطون في التعلم القائم على المشاريع، حيث يتعاونون، ويستكشفون، ويحوّلون أفكارهم إلى نتائج ذات معنى. يعكس كل مشروع قدرتهم على التفكير النقدي، والتواصل بفعالية، والعمل بروح الفريق.
في بصمتي، يتجاوز التعلم حدود الكتب الدراسية. خلال تنفيذ المشاريع، يطبّق الطلاب مهاراتهم في الرياضيات بشكل عملي — من القياس والحساب إلى القص بدقة — أثناء تحويل أفكارهم إلى واقع ملموس. كما يعززون مهاراتهم في اللغة الإنجليزية من خلال النقاشات، والعروض التقديمية، والكتابة التأملية، إلى جانب توظيف مهارات تكنولوجيا المعلومات والاتصالات (ICT) في البحث والتخطيط وعرض أعمالهم بفعالية.
ومن خلال هذا النهج العملي، يطوّر الطلاب مهارات القرن الحادي والعشرين الأساسية مثل حل المشكلات، والإبداع، والتعاون، والقدرة على التكيّف. فهم لا يتعلمون المواد بشكل منفصل، بل يربطون بين المعارف ويطبّقونها في سياقات واقعية.
نحن فخورون برؤية طلابنا ينمون ليصبحوا متعلمين واثقين وقادرين، ومزوّدين بالمهارات التي يحتاجونها للنجاح في عالم سريع التغيّر.
