Every journey tells a story…and our Biology students captured theirs, one frame at a time.

As part of their Eco Tour 2026 at the Br. Alfred Shields FSC Marine Station (BrAMS) in Lian, Batangas, our students took on a mini-vlog challenge to document their experiences beyond field notes and laboratory observations. From aquatic sampling and species identification to hiking Mt. Tikbalang, stargazing, and moments of camaraderie, these videos showcase not only the scientific learning that took place but also the memories that made the experience truly unforgettable.

Through their lenses, witness how curiosity turned into discovery, collaboration into lifelong friendships, and appreciation into a deeper commitment to environmental stewardship.

𝗙𝗨𝗥 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗹, 𝘁𝗼𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝘄𝗮𝘀 𝗣𝗔𝗪𝘀𝗶𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗹𝘆 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗱𝘂𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲! 🐾🐱🐶

The 𝗙𝗿𝗲𝗲 𝗔𝗻𝘁𝗶-𝗥𝗮𝗯𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝗩𝗮𝗰𝗰𝗶𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗺 held on May 26, 2026, from 8:00am to 3:00pm at the Seminar Room A&B, 3rd floor, Health Sciences Center, served as a meaningful reminder that even small acts of care can create a positive impact within the community. Through the initiative of 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗔𝗻𝗶𝗺𝗮𝗹 𝗪𝗲𝗹𝗳𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗦𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗰𝗲𝘀 (𝗖𝗟𝗔𝗪𝗦), campus cats were safely captured, collared for identification, vaccinated, and carefully released back into their environment to promote their health and welfare. The event also provided free vaccinations for cats and dogs owned by Quezon City residents, encouraging responsible pet care and awareness on animal welfare. It was a fulfilling day of service, compassion, and teamwork dedicated to creating a safer and healthier environment for our furry companions 🐾💉

We would like to send our deepest acknowledgement and gratitude to our dearest volunteers, to 𝗤𝘂𝗲𝘇𝗼𝗻 𝗖𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗩𝗲𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝗗𝗲𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 for safely capturing the cats and for the administration of vaccines, and to our partner organizations 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗦𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗖𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗹 (𝗨𝗦𝗖) and 𝗦𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗡𝘂𝗿𝘀𝗲𝘀’ 𝗔𝘀𝘀𝗼𝗰𝗶𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 (𝗦𝗡𝗔).

May today’s efforts remind us that compassion extends beyond people, it reaches every life we choose to protect!
