Try putting closed captions on all media TV tablets as he/she will learn to read faster. Take it slowly at first and find his/her learning gaps. Don't pressure him to write, encouraging him/her to draw is great for self esteem. My D has aspergers and we started when she was 9. I found we have

to gap learn maths from year 1 and do all her spelling tests on the computer-less stress typing. Aim to go to the library once a week. Check if they have a Lego club or code club he/she can join. My local public pool has homeschooling swimming lessons during the week check what your local councils have available. And we have support carers take my daughter to horse riding/swimming lessons/library(books on weekly school subject)/hairdresser for a wash. Try and do about 1 hour of formal school each day. Informally, we read information books for 1/2 hour each night just before bedtime. Cooking Dinner.
Homeschool:
If there is more than one person in the house, then there should be be more than one person cooking.
Weekend Partner day, kids life skills day, mum mash up day.
Team theme day:
Build your own pizza day.
Taco tuesday.
Salard max day. (Maximise the number of ingredients into a salard that work well together including fruit).
Pasta night.
Waffle/Pancake weekend.
French toast sweet and or savory.
All are life skills and all are home economics.
Then include shoping lists for each night and budgets.
Maths and science!
