The Department of Informatics, TEI of Athens (Greece), has long cooperation in research and education with the Department of Informatics at the University of Limoges (France). Since 2007, the Master Programme (Master - ISICG) has been organised in Athens in the form of partnership (antenna) (Ministerial decree 1122/B’ /18-08-2006) and since the academic year 2013-14 it has the form of co-organizi
ng as a joint Master Programme awarding joint patent of both Institutes (Ministerial decree 181/B’/31-01-2013). The Master's Programme in Computer Science, “Informatics, Image Synthesis and Graphics Design – Internet & Multimedia Technologies”, aims to provide a high level of specialization in Informatics, for a successful career in the international arena, in the professional, or academic field. In addition to, the specialisation, which is offered, is innovative and contemporary. It mainly focuses on occupations which are related to digital image, computer graphic design, multimedia and internet technology. Also, the Master’s fields are many and they evolve constantly. In particular, it could be mentioned the interactive web-based developments with multiple use of graphics and multimedia information, the educational applications, 3D systems in geosciences, biomedicine and the design and production. The most important field of application are the promotion and administration of natural and cultural resources. Most case studies and research proposals, which are developed and are taught within the Master, directly related to the promotion and management of natural and cultural resources of the two countries (Greece, France), but also of the Mediterranean area. Subject and Duration of Studies:
The Programme of Master consists of two (2) academic years and includes four (4) semesters. First year (1st and 2nd semester): 600 hours of theoretical and laboratory teaching. Second year (1st semester): 300 hours of theoretical and laboratory teaching. Second year (2nd semester): master thesis
