We are delighted to announce that Yadurshan Kulaseelan secured 1st place, while Harindu Pathirana achieved 2nd place in the 14–15 Years Male Kata event at the National Open Karate Championship 2026, held at the New Town Hall Stadium, Ratnapura

Competing against 130 athletes, this outstanding accomplishment reflects their dedication, discipline, and relentless hard work. 💪🥋

Both Yadurshan and Harindu will next compete in the National Team Selection for the upcoming South Asian Karate Championship, scheduled to be held in Bangladesh this July. 🇱🇰🔥

K. Vidurshan has won 3rd place in 16/17Yrs Male individual kumite -76kg event at the Open karate Championship 2026 which is the preliminary selection tournament for the upcoming South Asian Karate Championshi. Congratulations and well done!

Today, the official referee briefing was held at the HQ Hotel in Bali, Indonesia. The session covered the updated 2026 WKF Rules and was conducted by the AKF Referee Commission Chairman and WKF Referee Commission Member, Mansour Al Sultan.

The Itosukai members, Thawru, Yadu, Harindu, and Sensei Alexander, will be departing to participate in the WKF Karate One Youth League, which will be held from 14th to 18th May in Manila, Philippines.

This extension reflects continued confidence in his leadership, dedication, and unwavering service toward the growth, discipline, and technical development of Itosukai Karatedo in Sri Lanka, in accordance with the teachings of Itosuryu and the guidance of the Itosukai.
