“Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the Lord your God goes with you; He will never leave you nor forsake you.”
— Deuteronomy 31:6

Today, on the 25th anniversary of September 11, 2001, we pause in prayer and remembrance for the nearly 3,000 lives lost, their families and loved ones, and the countless first responders and everyday heroes whose courage and sacrifice we continue to honor.

May we continue to pray for all those who carry the loss of that day in their hearts, and may we always remember the courage, compassion, faith, and unity that emerged in its aftermath.

Twenty-five years later, we will never forget.

🔔 BEYOND THE BELL at HFS 💙💛 CHILDREN'S CHOIR

After-school opportunities are an important part of a child’s development—extending learning and growth BEYOND THE BELL. They give students the chance to discover new interests, build confidence, develop friendships, have fun, and, in many cases, strengthen skills beyond the classroom.

Our HFS Children’s Choir, led by our music director Andrew Reed ([email protected]), brings together faith, music, and ministry, singing each Sunday at the 12:45 p.m. Mass, as well as at school Masses and special celebrations. Through weekly after-school rehearsals, students develop vocal skills, confidence, an appreciation for sacred music, and an understanding that their voices are a meaningful part of the Church’s ministry.

As Pope Leo XIV recently reminded us, singing during the liturgy is more than music—it is prayer, bringing voices together in unity and opening our hearts to God. Through choir, our students have the opportunity to share their God-given gifts while serving both our school and parish community.

For many HFS students, this experience also becomes the beginning of a lifelong musical journey, with singers continuing into high school conservatory programs and college-level music.

His July remarks to an international children’s choir are also especially fitting for HFS: Pope Leo encouraged young singers to “continue to cultivate the gifts that God has given you” and allow those gifts to lead them toward God.

Offerings may vary throughout the school year based on grade level, season, and availability.

At Holy Family Catholic School, we are committed to forming students in the Catholic faith with academic distinction and grounding them in the Gospel message of Jesus Christ. Our core values—FAITH, COMMUNITY, SERVICE, and EXCELLENCE—shape every classroom, every relationship, and every experience. These principles are the foundation of who we are and the mission we joyfully live each day.
