Arrows going PHARR this summer!
Introducing SAMANTHA (Telecommunication Media Studies ‘27)
“This summer I had the opportunity to participate in a 4 week internship with the City of Pharr. For the first two weeks I interned at the Pharr International Bridge which is the international border dividing Reynosa Tamaulipas and Pharr Texas (or the Rio Grande Valley). During my time there I got to learn what working at the bridge consists on a day to day basis and recognize the importance it brings when it comes to transporting trade and commerce between the United States and Mexico. The next two weeks I worked with the city’s Office and Communications where I was able to go on site and take videos and pictures of different events happening through the city. I was able to help with taking headshots of all city employees and departments. Last but not least I was able to work the 4th of July festival and got “berol!” and interviewed 3 people about the experience. Overall it was a great experience and I learned a lot from each person that I worked with.”
We are so proud of our girls in everything they are pursuing this summer!

This summer, Sanjitha (Public Health ‘27) participated in a study abroad in GERMANY
“This summer I got to participate in an International Health and Emergency Preparedness Study Abroad by the School of Public Health in Bonn, Germany! I had the best time learning about emergency response systems in Europe as well as connecting with German culture. My favorite part of the trip was being able to take the weekends to travel to places like the Netherlands and Belgium!”
Future can ask her more about this trip, she is so excited to meet yall! “I’m so excited to meet the Bows and get everyone involved in the great philanthropy events we’ll be having! I can’t wait to make the best memories with the best girls

This summer is looking BRIGHT for Mariana! “I participated in a six-week summer program with TAMU School of Dentistry in Dallas! 🦷💖 My favorite part of this experience were the meaningful relationships I built with dentists, professors, and fellow students. I also loved learning more about clinical dentistry and learning how to cast a gold crown all while growing as a person!!✨”

“I went on a Public Health study abroad field trip to Australia! My favorite part was snorkeling at the Great Barrier Reef! I also loved learning about the Australian health care system and comparing it to the United States!“.
