To meet the growing responsibilities and demands of this profession, we offer a six-year doctorate program. This curriculum results in a bachelor’s degree in clinical health studies and a professional doctorate in physical therapy. Go Baby Go is a program that adapts commercially available electric ride-on vehicles to the needs of children with mobility restrictions. Ithaca College Physical Therapy Students work alongside Cornell Biomedical Engineering students to provide personalized motorized vehicles for kids that allow them to move more independently. This year we were able to provide 5 children with their own vehicle!

In April, the Belonging and Equity Committee hosted the PT Expo, an event for students to learn more about areas of PT practice. Community PTs and graduate students hosted tables to provide information about the many ways that PTs are involved in healthcare.
