💚 I created Gaby's Kitchen, in 2013 with the idea of creating a free food education Program, to teach children in Public Schools how to cook. When reality hit and my bills started piling up, I started teaching cooking classes in

my kitchen for children and adults; I also got a permit and sold empanadas in the street to make ends meet! A lot happened in the last 5 years; after working in the Test Kitchen at Bon Appetit Magazine, I am back on my own, doing what I love, cooking and talking about food. TIPS & TRICKS: ONIONS STORAGE 🧅💚

This is for Onions and other “ALLIUMS” (it’s their family name: google it) need space, air and darkness! NEVER EVER IN THE FRIDGE!

According to the National Onion Association! You have to store whole onions in a cool, dry, dark, and well-ventilated space—such as a pantry, basement, or garage—at 45°F–55°F. Avoid plastic bags, the refrigerator, and storing them next to potatoes, as potatoes release moisture and gases that accelerate sprouting.

Tips & Tricks: Baking Soda 💚
You can use BS to clean and deodorize your kitchen🧽
I used the old box I keep in my fridge a second time just to clean the sink drain!
But not for baking after it absorbs the fridge smells! 🤣
